The 31st Tyler Cattle Barons’ Gala has concluded – and it was a rousing success! The event featured food, drinks, silent auctions, a variety of vendors, and an incredible atmosphere of excitement and community.
TNB was extremely excited to work with the American Cancer Society for the 2018 Cattle Barons Gala. We’re still tallying the totals, but so far in excess of $900k was raised for cancer research.
In total, more than 1500 people came out to show their support. Their presence and contributions mean so much to our community in East Texas, where countless individuals struggle with cancer.
Cancer has touched all our lives in one way or another. Some of us have lost loved ones to it, others have loved ones who have suffered from it, and some of us are battling with cancer right now. As an illness, cancer can affect any of us at any time in our lives, but especially as we age.
That’s why it’s so crucial that we encourage movements within our communities to contribute to the research being done by scientists and medical practitioners around the world. The American Cancer Society is and has always done phenomenal work in spreading awareness and helping fund research into new treatments for fighting cancer.
Time will show the impact made by this year’s Tyler Cattle Barons’ Gala’s raising more than $900,000 for cancer research. Our efforts show that cancer is not a battle we fight alone, but one we wage as a community who want nothing more than to see all our neighbors live long, healthy lives.
We’d like to show our tremendous appreciation for Susan Robinson Jewelry, Hall Buick GMC, and all the vendors who came out with their contributions to the event.
